PCI or PCMCIA ????

I am going to be setting up my first gateway on a freeBSD box. I am a little
confused about the AP. I currently have a Siemens speed stream ss1024. It is
however a PCI card, no PCMCIA to PCI adapter just a strait PCI card. From
what I have read it sounds like I cannot use this and must use a wireless
card that is PCMCIA to PCI. Am I correct or can I use my existing PCI card
for the AP on the gateway?
