University of Arkansas-Little Rock--An e-Learning Success Story 
 
In 2000, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock became a leader in distance education by placing its Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling completely online. In 2001, U.S. New and World Report recognized UALR's program as one of the top online graduate programs in the country. Recently, the magazine distinguished UALR again, listing it among the few certified graduate programs nationwide. With the support of Teletraining, UALR's program now boasts more than 150 students from 32 states. Two of the students enrolled in the program actually live on a U.S. military base in Germany.

Arkansas VA Uses CourseBuilder to Develop Online Presence 
 
When Dr. Ray Ortega and Diane Hogg came to The Teletraining Institute they had a specific mission to accomplish – establish an online presence for their employment skills training.  Both are Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Officers from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Service in Little Rock, Arkansas. Their need was to have uninterrupted creative time to plan and produce the learning segments and to be in an environment where they had the support, guidance, and experience to be successful.

In order to reach their goal, they chose Teletraining’s Course Builder and scheduled five days with Teletraining staff and designers to produce their streamed presentations and create related course content. The end result?  16 streamed lessons, a web page, and all the ancillary course materials to help their clients navigate through this dynamic new way of learning.

WIC Declares e-Learning Success 
 
WIC assists approximately 90,000 families in Oklahoma each month, and with caseworkers dispersed statewide, immense time and travel is required to educate employees. In 2001, WIC searched for a more efficient way to train. Realizing the time and travel that manual training requires is not cost effective, WIC looked to a viable alternative: e-learning.
With an online program, users can access the course from their location and complete the training at their pace without a strain on the rest of the organization. WIC believes distance learning will help reach its clientele more effectively by giving its employees current information about nutrition, health screenings and procedures, and agency requirements, all from one source.
