I am not sure I understand the problem, but if you are trying to patch
the wi(4) driver in the 1.6 release up to -current level, then there
are several source files you will affect. Just for example, most of the
HostAP functions have been factored out of wi(4) and into the source
files sys/net/if_ieee80211subr.c and sys/net/if_ieee80211.h.
