Hmmm.. If you mean the broadcast beacons that allow your AP
to be detected by Netstumbler et al then this is quite a valid
exercise. What I am researching at the moment is how to make
my FreeBSD network invisible. Only those clients who I wish to allow
a connection would be given the necessary configuration.

Is this what you are trying to achieve?
