Hi, I found some free GIS data files (ESRI shapefiles) for Champaign
County courtesy of the US Census Bureau and ESRI.  Also, there's a pretty
impressive free open-source program called JUMP that generates good maps
from these.  It will save images as PNGs and JPGs, so generating images
for the web should be no problem.  The street and address information
seems pretty comprehensive, and I'm hoping that we can also use it to
calculate distances between nodes.  Do we also want to store other
information about nodes - e.g., reliability, etc?
