Sascha, We have developed a battery powered Mobile Wi-Fi Gateway (or MANPacks) that is being used by first responders to establish a Mobile Area Network (MAN) at an emergency site. See attached. Typically 3 6 MANPack are deployed to communicate between first responders and provide location based tracking of assets and victims and an overall cross agency web based situational awareness. Currently each MANPack operates as a stand alone Wi-Fi bubble with a CDMA backhaul channel. The next step would be to form a unified network for cross MANPack communication and aggregation of the CDMA backhaul. Of high importance would be to provide video monitoring. Do you think the technologies in the CUWiN Project could be applied to our needs? Dave Ahlgren **************** David R.
