Hi Indra (et al.), CUWiN's put a lot of documentation online at: http://www.cuwireless.net/documentation It'll answer a lot of basic questions (and provide recommendations -- for example, CUWiN uses omni-directional antennas, but this is based upon our own topolographical layout) you might have about setting up a CUWiN-based network. For those who are interested in helping develop the software you may want to check out the CUWiN developers' list archives at: http://lists.cuwireless.net/cgi-bin/listinfo/cu-wireless-dev --Sascha On Fri, 18 Feb 2005, Indra Tjahjono wrote: > Hi, > > First of all I would like say thank you for the good apps. > I am thinking to set up wifi mesh in my area (jakarta-Indonesia). > My question is What kind of antenna I could use? > Do I need omni or grid antenna? > If one of my neighboor using grid antenna, do they have to point the antenna > to nearest antenna? > > Regards, > > -- Sascha Meinrath President * Project Coordinator * Policy Analyst Acorn Worker Collective *** CU Wireless Network *** Free Press www.acorncollective.com * www.cuwireless.net * www.freepress.net _______________________________________________ CU-Wireless mailing list [email protected] http://lists.chambana.net/cgi-bin/listinfo/cu-wireless Project Page: http://cuwireless.ucimc.org
