Hack Night Dec 22 2004

Short notice as it may be, this is a call to all you folks interested in
doing so to come on by to a HackNight. Where and When?

Node 236, 2924 SE Alder Street
6pm till 10 pm

Focus points for the eve.....

* Working with Ben to get Openwrt going on one of my wrts complete with
snmp and the like such that we can replace the stock AP at StumptownBelmont.
Once in place I want to hammer test the thing to see just how robust , or
not, this solution is.

* Getting the batcave cleaned up a bit more and some space made for the
inclusion of new workspaces and shelves. Once the new year rolls around
and we have regularly scheduled HackNights I want to have things set up so
folks who are trained up can sit right down and pop out a Nodebox  as well
as training folks in the process as well. Brian is the master of Nodes and
whatever help we can give him means the more nodes we can put up with ease
and assurance of quality.

* Festive Cheer. Yes its close to that time of year when folks celebrate
Hanuka, Christmas, Kwanzaa, WinterFest, Cthulueve and a plethora of other
"Hey we made it thru half the winter we might just survive till spring"
type events.  Since I missed the PTP holiday party (hats off to Mike for
making that something regret missing) it will be a time to toss a few
adult type beverages down in celebration of PTP comradery and the
holidaze.

Of course the Hacknights are also a great time to touch base with each
other, rally support for whatever projects you think need working on, make
a plea for some new projects, and in general get things moving along.
