Installation of a new Personal Telco node was completed yesterday
evening that covers the SW corner of Irving Park (NE 7th & Fremont).
Best coverage is near the picnic tables that surround the tennis courts.

Bandwidth and all equipment for this node were generously donated by
Brian Wannamaker, who owns an apartment building near the park. (If
you're looking for a great apartment with free wireless Internet access,
he would be a good person to talk to!)

This node never would have gotten installed without the generous help of
Brian Beattie and Lucas Sheehan. Not only did Brian prepare the compact
flash cards with the BeWitched images, but he helped with the install
every step of the way--crimping cables, tightening chimney straps,
grounding the AP, configuring the network. Brian did it all.

Lucas lent his considerable expertise during the testing phases and the
installation of the nodes that covered the interior of the apartment
building.

Other notable PTP'ers lending a hand include:

 * Lonnie Wormley and Aaron Johnson for performing the initial site
   survey.

 * Darrin Eden and Steven Schroedl for assisting during the first test
   of the equipment.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to make this happen!

Tom
