I've heard this idea a few times recently: the want for an ideal access
point that does everything we want, and nothing we don't. Well, as Russell
points out, we can do this to some approximation. In fact, he has been.
All we need to do is agree on all the cool tricks we want it to do, and
then build a prototype and test it. With a working prototype we can
distribute instructions and/or make bunches of them for sale/distribution.
Really, we can do it. It's not so hard.

I've started a wiki page to this end. It's mostly a wish-list of features
for this solve-all AP. Please edit the page and make it better:
