It did work. I remember one cool day where Aaron Baer was walking around on
a VoIP call back to our Mississippi Street Fair booth. Unfortunately, the
gateway went away before we purchased or deployed any phones, so we never
got to try it as a local resource.

VoIP is still very much of interest to this group, I believe. We'd
discussed a community asterisk server at some point, and it would be cool
to see that revived/implemented.
