WIFI problems

I have 2 XP boxes that I am having trouble connecting to the internet.

One has a dongle and the other has a Netgear box.

The one with the Netgear box has been operational before.

They will both connect to the local network but neither will connect  
to the internet.

I have set all the settings to automatic.

Any Suggestions.
