Customer Service was quick to answer questions I had about the Aireo 1 and 2 drives. There are a few things going against it. 1) no copy between SD/MMC and internal rotational. 2) USB 1.1 3) Small size drive for a rotational. For it: 1) cheap for 1gb storage range. 2) WiFi 3) FMTX/RX 4) SD/MMC slot 2nd quarter 05 the Aireo 2 is expected out, it will have a 20gb rotational and USB 2. It's also supposed to have at least all the same neat features as the Aireo 1(FMTX, WiFi SD/MMC). I plan for this to be in use some of the time on a motorcycle and they recommend against it. I'll have to shoot some more questions over to customer service before I decide. I need to find out if it can park the drive while using the SD slot or if it still needs drive access for OS things. I will be taking it apart if I get one. I would like to see if I can take the Rotational drive out and wedge a CF card in there.
