You could also create a virtual "DS" across the various nodes with
bridging (ick).

Ideally, you would want some "special" software here...something that
would have its graps into the 802.11 MAC and ability to distribute to
other nodes so you really knew where to forward the traffic to.  Sort
of a smart mobile ip.
