You could setup a multicast "radio station", and use any old broken WRT as a radio receiver to relay these multicast packets to an end PC. We have talked about doing this with NodeAtoys, we even have a potential content provider (EDU station) lined up for it, but it hasn't gone past the concept stage. > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Bill Vodall > Sent: Wednesday, February 15, 2006 9:15 AM > To: SeattleWireless Development List > Subject: Re: Node Atoys > > On Fri, 27 Jan 2006, Matt Westervelt wrote: > > > Node Atoys is live. > > > > http://seattlewireless.net/NodeAtoys > > > In the spirit of Atoys, and other great node adventures, I'm > comtemplating putting up a WiFi "radio station!" > > Not a full time AP -- but should be capable of running as one > if so desired.
