Hi all, I am new to setting up a community network, but I was wanting to have a little fun with getting introduced to it. I live on Sammamish Plateau pretty much at the very top. My bedroom has a view of just south of downtown Seattle, I can see the buildings, etc ( http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=SE+16th+St+%26+228th+Ave+SE,+Sammamish,+WA+98075&daddr=seattle,+wa&om=1 )... I estimate the fresnel zone between here and there (16 miles @ 2.4 GHz) to be ~100 feet. From what I can tell there isn't much within that 100 feet diameter between here and there. I am wondering if somebody is within my direct RFLOS and would be willing to point an antenna my direction, and I could do the same and see if we can create a link. I am willing to take any constructive criticism to whether or not this is possible. I think this would be a really fun project if this could work. Thanks, Raymond _______________________________________________ Dev mailing list [email protected] http://seattlewireless.net/mailman/listinfo/dev
