linksys high gain antenna

I was thinking about getting another wap54g for my house. I have one on the 3rd floor of my house but I don't get a very strong signal in the basement. Looking at the linksys website this morning I noticed that they have some High Gain Antenna Kits available now. Has anyone used them and how much of an increase are we talking about? If it's cheaper than a wap54g I just might go that route instead.
