WRT54G as a router

This is a rather basic question: I need to do a "parent" network installation. They currently don't need the wireless, but I was thinking about buying the WRT54G instead of a dedicated router only (like a BEFSR41 or BEFSR81 - which are very close in price to the WRT54G) and disable the wireless for now. Is there any reason not to go that route? Seems like 802.11g for $10 extra is a good deal. All I need is NAT and a decent firewall to put in front of their Windows machines.
