      The 675's aren't worth much anymore. I've been lucky to get $10-$20 
for one with PSU and serial cable, the fact it's a complete installation 
kit you have doesn't add to the value much. The 678's are worth around $50 
or more.
      The reason the 675 isn't worth much is it uses only CAP modulation, 
CAP has being phased out by the DSL providers for years and none that I 
know of will create a new CAP account. All new accounts use DMT (either 
G.Lite or G.DMT) modulation which is very different than CAP, and a CAP 
modem will not work on a new DMT line, at all, no hacks to get it to work, 
no firmware upgrades, nothing. Most of my 675 sales (I sell them on ebay 
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5745832402 ) are usually 
to foreign countries that get the USA's CAP hand-me-downs for service 
providers. I no longer accept any new 675's and my current stock of them 
will not be replenished after I sell them off.
      I can help you try to get your maximum money out of your 675 if you 
want, but the good news about the 675 is out of the CAP modems out there, 
it's the second most valuable one as most others are nearly worthless. The 
678 is more valuable as it can have either CAP or DMT firmware uploaded to it.

      If the qwest arescom box is the MSN one I'm thinking of, it's also 
about $20 or so. I tried to sell them and even tested good, they went for 
only $10.

      I hate to say it, but DSM modems are quite common on the used market 
and when once they'd command hundreds used, they're now not worth much and 
declining in value.
