I do Apple repair & consulting, emailed you just to be of help. The
extra life batteries only cost $10 or $20 more than Apple's stock
replacements. I'm using my mom's 800mhz ibook right now(my p'book was
stolen) & it has this weird issue where at about 45% to 51% charge the ibook
just goes to sleep. Most of the dual usb or "snow" ibooks have some issues,
if you go to Apple's website there's some info on the 3 year logic board
replacement program. This ibook is less than a year old so I'm dropping it
off for service so they can give us a new battery or see if there's a
problem with the power management unit or somesuch. Good luck, crispin
