I've been using a WET11(actually 2, first was stolen) with a battery pack & added Senao 2511 card. Eventually I'll set it up for POE once I have a POE setup. You definitely want the V1 as even w/o swapping out Prism based cards the range seems to be better. I've also added one of the 7db Linksys RP-SMA antennas(got a good deal on it) & the performance is quite reliable & remarkable. You should be able to find a new old stock WET11 for around $50 from an online retailer or on ebay, remember to look for one w/o a Cisco logo on the top of it.
