Wiring folks out there?

I've got a *very* small network wiring project I'd like to see if I can get
some feedback on.

I need to wire CAT5 to four spots in my house (upstairs) to a switch in my
basement.

Yes, I currently use wireless, but for this application, I need wired.

I'm looking for guidance on shielded versus unshielded, and costs associated
with getting four drops done....(each in a different room, terminating to
one spot in my basement where there is a switch).
