Perhaps the store you bought it from has a flexible return policy? I usually see the WAP54G as being more expensive in stores than the WRT54G (at $50-60), so even if they hit you with a 15% 'restocking' fee you could still come out even. OpenWRT does work on some versions of the WAP54G, but read the cautions here first: http://openwrt.org/WAP54GHowto If NAT/internet connection sharing is all you need, then your DSL modem may already provide that capabilitity. (Or build an IPCop Firewall/NAT out of any old Pentium). I don't use the WRT54G's NAT capabilities for my main network, as I like the extra flexibility in IPCop.
