RE: Linksys rebates

Now thats just silly.  Linksys has far improved their products as of late.  Especially with the ability to use 3rd party firmware with alot of their most popular products AP/Router wise - they are ahead of the consumer competition at this point.

Hi Tom,

I am using linksys products for my adsl connection and my wireless card. I
am not happy with them at all. Wireless card can not detect Wireless
Networks although my friend's card detects it. He is using cisco wireless
card. Also the wireless modem disconnects me after some time and can not
connect again unless reboot it. It is really annoying.
I was thinking that is just me having problem with linksys products but a
few days ago I went to a customer and saw them having problem with their
linksys access points.

I do not recommend any of linksys products at all! Cisco bought them but
they are just using Cisco's brand nothing else.

Was looking at linksys site and they are offering a ton of rebates on some
(maybe all) of their 802.11b gear. If your looking for some cheap solutions,
hell I was looking at the WAP11 on Pricewatch.com and saw them for a tad
less then 50$ Then with the $30 that makes for some cheap AP's or even just
the little rubber ducky antennas '>
