I take that this with either the PC 5740 http://dts.vzw.com/index.html?m=Verizon%20Wireless&p=1821 which claims to support Macintosh with a pcmcia slot. How does the VZAccess Manager software work? I wasn't able to download the driver software, is there an NDIS driver for this card? Do you think it could run under ndiswrapper (on linux)? or V620 http://dts.vzw.com/index.html?m=Verizon%20Wireless&p=1821 Unless one is a current verizon customer and I use the term loosely, it doesn't look like a good option. They aim for a 2yr lockin plus the "terms of service" pretty much state, "do anything we don't like and we terminate your service" >>> Unlimited NationalAccess/BroadbandAccess services cannot be used (1) for uploading, downloading or streaming of movies, music or games, (2) with server devices or with host computer applications, including, but not limited to, Web camera posts or broadcasts, automatic data feeds, Voice over IP (VoIP), automated machine-to-machine connections, or peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing, or (3) as a substitute or backup for private lines or dedicated data connections. <<< http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/promotion/controller?promotionType=miniPac&action=miniStart The current best solution would seem to be smartphone+external antenna+usb cable to laptop (linux or ibook). Though, I haven't heard any reports of these folks getting kicked from verizon evdo http://www.evdoinfo.com/Tips/PC_5220/EVDO_iChat_2_Way_Video_at_60_MPH_2005031194/ Has anyone here made a stompbox with an EVDO card in it?
