>From what I understand, it is there for anyone to connect to as long as they have sight of it.  I think I saw 4-5 nodes on the map that are currently connected and another 4-5 that are in the midst, or will be soon.

I'm confused, does this node not communicate with any other SWN nodes?
 In one of the pictures I saw a grid antenna which I assumed was being
used to connect to somewhere else.
