Personal Favorite USB client adapter suggestions wanted

Well time to upgrade my laptop card and wanted to get some advise on 
some of the new stuff.
For once price inst the main concern. ;> The only must haves are

USB 1/2  8.0211b/g
WinXP and Linux (mainly for Kismet and Auditor) Comp.

Ok if I can get some of or all (dream) wish list below, I can use 
another card for my Linux needs since I know the chip sets can be a pain.

In order of desire.

1. External Antenna option prefer SMA rp.
2. Adjustable power output or if fixed the largest commercial.
3. MiMO or one of the other new "standards", I haven't been following 
close enough to see what looks to be the upcoming standard. Last I saw 
there was about 3 different property speed boosting options but didnt 
know who has the lead or best chance of being the one that might last.
4. Any one that has been the rave of hacks and home brew freaks.

I know its a lot to ask, but my company is footing the bill and its rare 
to get a blank check. I will be doing some hella road warrior travel and 
told them that I would need a better adapter to maintain contact. We 
have some hard to issues in the past of being able to get  good 
connections at some of our sites.
