True most environments wont see them :) Because they are not visible,
do not require any active probing  and even after they have the wep
key if all they want to do is eavesdrop then they remain hidden.

But yes for most people if they have nothing to hide WEP is fine and 
will keep the leachers away which is what most people are worried
about.
