I tried cracking my home WEP key this weekend and it was fairly simple. The
key is to get all the drivers and hardware (Prism2/2.5 of course) working
together. This was easily done with Auditor, because everything was
precompiled to work together. I used the Aircrack suite. The command line
flags and syntax are easy to figure out, and Auditor makes the software easy
to find/run--just execute all the programs in order
airodump/airoplay/aircrack. The only tricky part I found was finding a good
packet to replay. Most of the packets I found did not generate many IVs,
although they did belong to the appropriate conversation (as opposed the
packets I saw from my neighbor's connection, or the blank and beacon
packets).

As long as you have permission, just grab Auditor and a Prism2 card and
you're set.

P.S. I used the Senao NL-2511CD PLUS EXT2 card.
