I was wondering whether anyone had taken a stab at getting an OS running on the boxes that we "found" last night at Hacknight. I have been able to add a hard drive and floppy and have attempted to install FreeBSD and Debian via the boot floppies method. I had no luck getting a cd-rom recognized, although there is a secondard EIDE port. The problem I am having seems to be with an area of memory being cached, causing the kernel to puke. I have attempted to turn off caching of that area and caching entirely in the bios, but with nothing to show for it. -Daniel Marsh _______________________________________________ Talk mailing list [email protected] http://seattlewireless.net/mailman/listinfo/talk
