For new hardware the WRT54GL not the WRT54G or WRT54GS as the other current WRT54G hardware uses vxworks-based firmware rather than Linux- based firmware. For old hardware WRT54G v4 or earlier 16MB RAM and 4MB flash (serial numbers start with CDF0 through CDFA -- counting in hex) WRT54GS v3 or earlier has 32MB RAM and 8MB flash (serial numbers start with CGN0 through CGN5 -- counting in hex). WRT54G v4 has 16MB RAM and 4MB flash (same as earlier WRT54G or WRT54GL) (serial numbers start CGN6) For more details see <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WRT54G> On Mar 9, 2007, at 8:30 AM, Fred Weston wrote: > When you say newer WRT54G, is there a specific version/revision I > should look at? -- Kevin Purcell [email protected] _______________________________________________ Talk mailing list [email protected] http://seattlewireless.net/mailman/listinfo/talk
