Setting Up Houseboat Wireless

Hi Everyone:

 

We are a three-dock houseboat community on the eastside of Lake Union.  We
want to set up our own wireless using nodes/antennas.  I am the "designated"
newbie (read guinea pig!)  to look into this possibility.  Would someone
shed some light on how to go about this, i.e., what hardware both for the
docks as well as for owners?  We've got a lot of DIYers and could get lots
of help to do this ourselves.
