Recommended antenna for Buffalo WBR2-G54

I've got a Buffalo WBR2-G54, and am unable to get as much signal  
strength as I'd like on the other side of my condo. The box has an  
external antenna connector...I was thinking to get a rubber duck  
antenna, and try putting a parabolic mesh around the back of it to  
improve gain in the direction of the remote device....like this:

Suggestions?

Anybody got an antenna kicking around they want to get rid of?
