Hi Igor, it seems that Opera will not let you request a URL without a '.' for the hostname. Therefore I tried some other aliases. What workes with Opera (version 7.54) is this: http://g.g/l = http://www.google.ru/linux Out of curiosity: why do you want to use an alias and not bookmark the google page? Then you need not type the URL but just select the appropriate bookmark. Regards, Nils
