AMB> Try this patch and let me know if it works I'm sorry my man. I got several steps down the ./configure process but then I realized me installing all the compiler equipment etc. is harder than just staying hooked on the Debian sugar, and just keeping my fingers crossed that on Debian one day eventually HEAD will never turn into GET (I use HEAD to see how big something is before I dare to GET it), and HEAD will tell me the size, so I don't have to type wwwoffle -O|sed /^.$/q to see if it is in the header, and HEAD will act like GET in terms of when to look in the cache vs. when to go on the network.
