Various browser URL formats (eg. referrer) a problem for cache indexing ?

Hi all,

any idea about this:

For example, on URL
http://europa.eu.int/institutions/index_de.htm

i click on the link 'Mitentscheidungsverfahren' which points to
http://europa.eu.int/institutions/decision-making/index_de.htm
and wwwoffle serves the page alright.

Opening this link in a new tab (middle mouse click) returns the request page for
http://europa.eu.int/institutions/index_de.htm. i.E. not found in the cache.
I can launch the latter URL from the proxy cache index without problem.

So it looks like opening in tabs (and this is my default setting) somehow
doesn't pass exactly the same information as opening in the same window.

Hmmm, ISTR some time ago that middle clicking didn't send a referrer, while
clicking on a link normally did. Not sure why that would be affecting your
proxy, but I don't know of any other change.

Perilous to us all are the devices of an art deeper than we possess ourselves.
