After reload, now it's there. 'Wired'...
I also can't see the 'redirect (?) to akamai' thing in the status bar.

The source shows, in the head:

<!-- WWWOFFLE (disable-meta-refresh-self) - meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="3600" -->
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon"  />
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://a1112.g.akamai.net/7/1112/492/2002091467/www.wired.com/news/javascript/global.js">
<!--
function BuildAd() {void(0);}
function setStyle() {void(0);}
// -->

Maybe javascript is running differently offline.

I've seen pages containing nearly nothing else than JS nowadays.
It's a challenge isn't it.

yes

yes

btw. it's really not important, but nayway, i'd like to change the style for the wwwoffle bottom navbar in question to something more cool (maybe invers colors). How could these modifications be preserved through updates ?
