webmail access problems

Hi,

 

I have wwwoffle running perfectly. except when it comes to connecting to
IMAP mail servers which 'timeout'.

 

My configuration is :

Wwwoffle (8080) -> DansGuardian (3228) -> squid (3128) -> GATEWAY

 

If I try to connect to yahoo mail, hotmail or any web based mail access, the
connection times out. The only way around this I have found is to manually
route the URL direct to the main gateway, i.e. http://webmail.*
<http://webmail.*/>  a.b.c.d:8080

 

In the logfile, all I can see is:

 

wwwoffles[2494] 1118153055: Warning: Error reading reply header from remote
host [Connection timed out].
