ACK. The greates problem for me is not to know how big is the file. I
must live with a 56k modem line and it's essential to know how big is a
file before you start downloading it.

Would you publish this patch? I'm not familiar with the wwwoffle code,
but where is the problem? Doesn't wwwoffle has an outgoing queue or a
send module, where the content-header become generated?
