Will 2.3.12 be released?

Rob,

I was wondering where we stand in terms of releasing the
next rev of xinetd? Several distributions are lumbering
towards their next release. The version of xinetd in cvs is
far superior to 2.3.11 and considerably more stable. Look
at the Changelog. There's a lot of fixes that I wished were
available to common users.

Let's look at the changelog. Starting with the entry devel
and going down the list, I consider #5, #6, #8, #10, #13,
#16, #17, & #19 to be serious security issues. I consider:
#2, #12, & #23 to be easy DOS & core dumps. There's many
memory leaks fixed and the cvs version includes the file
name that caused a parsing error instead of just the line
number. This alone should help new users debug service
entries much quicker.

I was wondering what, if anything, is holding up the next
release? Do we have a release date in mind or bugs that
need solving before 2.3.12 is released?

Sincerely,
Steve Grubb
