Hi Developing a routing protocol is a big task but it does give you a real good experience and it takes years to develop a routing protocol from scratch with all the latest features. however what i could suggest you is take the Quagga Code and look into some protocol eg (RIP/OSPF/BGP) and start understanding the code and try adding features to it . There are lot of features required to be added in Quagga's implementation of BGP so if you are interested in that BGP could be a real good place to start off however make sure you understand how BGP works (RFC 1771 / RFC 4271) should be the starting point. Hope this helps Cheers Balaji On 5/7/08, Danish Khan <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello > > I am searching about how to develop routing protocol in Linux.
