It would be a good bet that it is causing your problem..

You can try removing it with the "route" command:
   route del -net default dev pan0

I don't know why zcip creates this route, sorry.
The 169.254.0.0 route out pan0 seems sensible but
I can't fathom why a default route is being created.
Maybe it is a bug..
