Usability Engineering for Small and Medium-sized Businesses

Abstract:
This one-day seminar offers an introduction and thorough discussion of
straight forward usability concepts and methods, which can be applied by
practitioners in small and medium sized software and hardware companies.
This seminar will be carried out in a highly interactive fashion. You
will be able to ask your questions directly and come up with live
examples of your current projects.

About the Instructor
Thomas Geis is a usability assessor and head of the competence center IT
Usability at T=DCV Rheinland Berlin Brandenburg, based in Cologne =
Germany.
Mr. Geis has 10 years of experience as a practicing usability assessor
in many software projects and hardware projects and carried out numerous
usability evaluations of software products as well as hardware products.
Mr. Geis is furthermore the manager of a consolidated team of industrial
usability experts who are developing objective testing procedures based
on ISO Standards. Thomas Geis offers practical training in usability
engineering to industry and is a renowned speaker at industrial
conferences and commercial workshops. Thomas Geis is also an active
member within the ISO committees developing ISO 9241 and ISO 13407.
Mr.Geis has worked with companies such as IBM, SAP, Siemens, Ricoh and
Hitachi.
