This is an answer to a guy who wanted to install counters in library
functions in order to make users pay whenever they were activated.
The guy is Brad Cox, well known in software engineering, which says a
lot about software engineering.  Brad Cox is mostly a fast talker, and
made pots of money that way.  I do not know that he ever contributed
anything of substance technically (but I am willing to be corrected)
