You Wrote: > [ Does bh do smtp? -d ] The short answer is, not yet. Sendmail by default prevents external connections from "relaying" mail through the localhost. You can get around this (sort of) by adding them to /etc/mail/relay-domains, but this doesn't really fix anything, especially if it has to be done for each user. Apparently it is possible, using SMTP AUTH, to restrict relays to those users providing a password. I'm looking into this, and should have a more definitive answer in a few days... Note that you can use other hosts for smtp as well - i.e. if you have an account at mydomain.com which you can send mail from, you can often specify it as the outgoing agent. If no one beats me to it, i'll try and get cvs up in the next few days as well... > > -------- Original Message -------- > Subject: outgoing mail using outlook ex. > Date: Wed, 18 Feb 2004 15:10:40 -0800 > To: David VanHorn <[email protected]> > > D, > > Is it possible to use Outlook Express to SEND my bh.org email? Hope things are going well up there.
