The default PHP file in the rant directory was last modified at 9:23pm
last night.  everything else seems to work.  fortunately there's the
backup rant system at our compatriots at ballistichelmet.com

in a similar vein, as RSS becomes more prevalent on the web, it will be
crucial to have a rants feed to help distribute obscene literature.

i tested it out a bit and the RSS feed just needs a bit of final tweaking,
to be fully functional.
