Argued endlessly? Jesus, if my memory of the emails serves, David and Aaron just seemed to be asking him questions, he seemed to be the one elevating it to "argument" level.

How more accessible can you be

He's actually right - except for the fact that his endeavor and ours seem to be very similar, and would benefit from getting together. But, to paraphrase:
The issue is not about someone else's content. It is about someone being an arrogant putz who doesn't want any of his web hits going anywhere else. 

The issue is about stealing -- an endearing American pastime.

Wow, does this mean that we might get mentioned on the world-famous, uber-press site Swans?!?! Get someone on our PR staff to handle the fallout from that one...

David and I were talking, and I mean, a lot of the shit went over my head, but Giles' bitchy tone was pretty obvious. The funny thing was that Aaron and David seemed to be saying the same thing, but, as David put it, he was "bad cop" while Aaron was "good cop." This dude is the type of lefty that really pisses me off; the kind that thinks that their politics are something that is totally theirs, like it's some fad they've started. I understand why he would hesitate to have his material reissued if someone (ANYONE!) were making money on this, but what's wrong with us reprinting it? If someone volunteered a billboard on I-495 to post one of his articles, how would he feel about it? Honestly, I don't see much difference between the two offers that isn't based in scale. 

However, it's pretty cool that we bugged him enough to put a little note in their weekly summary. Maybe other well-intentioned people actually interested in furthering thought and information will know better now.
