There are none I'm aware of. So what? Name a colony that disallowed the
practice of enslaving blacks in 1790.

I disagree.

I don't think a third party is going to capture the oval office any time soon,
however having third party candidates run for president gets the platform out
in the open. People may slowly realize that the party makes some sense. You
start to see the third party on the school board, city council, etc. Before
long third party mayors, governors, senators, congressmen, and so on start
popping up. We almost saw a Green mayor of SF just recently. This is how a
third party comes to fruition.

And for perhaps no other reason, it stirs the pot. We wouldn't be talking
about reforming the electoral system without third parties "stealing" votes.

(I think it's presumptuous, pompous, and petulant that a party as worthless as
the democratic party claims own to my vote. The idea that somehow not voting
for the dems is anyone's fault other than the dems them self is preposterous,
petty, and other adjectives that begin with p.)

I agree. Which is why I think third parties should run for president. Who is
going to reform the system if not the third parties who are denied meaningful
participation in our political system? How are people going to realize that
this is a just cause without the third parties trying to participate and being
denied by the establishment? You want organized resistance to how we elect
people in this country -- look no further than the Nader campaign. Jesus.
