Thanks for putting those in order like that, it makes it a whole lot easier to forward on to people who might not be able to put it together themselves. That's kind of why I'm writing: It seems as if the press isn't covering these events correctly most of the time, but even when there has been some questioning of the White House by mass media, the American people seem to lack the ability to put two and two (or Haiti and Venezuela) together. 

My personal hypothesis as to why this is happening? We as a country have no way of verifying our news is correct when coming from a mass-source. The information that we find on the internet, while much more expansive, is even less reliable (with some major exceptions, of course, but those are not necessarily the best known or most accessible to normal folks with 2.3 kids, etc...). Thus, Americans are left with an information glut that first needs to be sorted by accuracy and then interpreted, something that most people worrying about a mortgage and student loans and not letting those fags ruin marriage just doesn't have the time to think about. It's a fast-food economy, so we get a fast-food press who serves unhealthy super-sized portions of sensationalist crap that doesn't affect their parent corporation's bottom line. The really wholesome info is reserved for the people who have the ti
 me to go info shopping, the numbers of which are growing smaller by the minute. It's a ca!

-22: The worse off our economy gets, the less time and effort people are willing to put in to find info, meaning that they get misled into more mistakes, making the economy even worse.

This is all off the top of my head, and given a few minutes, I could probably poke some serious holes in it. Anybody else have any idea?

Oh, and thanks Aaron, I had dinner with my dad last night at the Pub and Brew and the people sitting next to us left halfway through their meal cuz we were arguing so seriously about third party stuff. This kind of laid-out info is really helpful to send to him, as he is one of those who "just doesn't have the time" to find it himself.
