The American Friends Service Committee will gather at 9:30 am tomorrow in front of Montpelier City Hall (39 Main St.). Other sponsors include PeaceVermont, the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, Southern Vermont Veterans for Peace Chapter 88, and Northern Vermont Veterans for Peace Chapter 67. This will be a silent march to the Statehouse. Marchers will carry pairs of shoes to mark each of the more than 550 Americans killed in Iraq. A simultaneous march is taking place in Montpellier, France. Bring shoes but no signs. More information: (802) 229-2340 or (802) 476-3154. There doesn't seem to be anything going on in Burlington tomorrow (that I've heard of). There are Exxon Mobil protests (and boycotts) going on in other parts of the state, a few marches and rallies, but good ol' hippie Burlington is quiet. I'm headed to the event in Montpelier tomorrow morning. If anyone would like a ride, send me e-mail. -x _______________________________________________ heads mailing list [email protected] http://ballistichelmet.org/mailman/listinfo/heads/ http://ballistichelmet.org/donate/
